CHORA ISLAND IS A MUST VISIT WHILE YOU ARE IN SAMARA. National Wildlife Refuge, the jewel of Sámara beach.
This is your chance to see Isla Chora (Smuggler’s Island) up close and in person. A licensed guide will meet you on the beach, review kayak safety and explain the best route to the protected refuge. In less than 30 minutes of paddling through calm shallow waters you arrive at Isla Chora. From the island you can enjoy views of Samara Beach and observe iguanas, crabs, birds of prey, some very comical raccoons and other local wildlife.
The guide will help you explore the natural sanctuary as you snorkel close to shore swimming with colorful tropical fish,and with luck,sea turtles.Fruit,water and juice are served to keep you hydrated.
You may also have the option to quench your thirst with a domestic beer. The tour ends with you leisurely paddling back to Samara Beach with gentle waves helping you return.
